ABOUT ME

I’m Leona Jaemes — an independent artist rooted in jazz, storytelling, and experimentation. I’ve spent time performing as a jazz musician overseas, and more recently performed at the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center for the April in Paris preview night. Those experiences shaped the foundation of my sound — live, expressive, and grounded in tradition.

The Cassette Club is an extension of that.

Inspired by print clubs and physical art subscriptions, I wanted to create a way to share music that feels tangible, personal, and considered — something you can hold in your hands, return to, and truly spend time with.

Each month, members receive a cassette card featuring music released exclusively through the club, along with small curated additions that reflect the world around each release.

At its core, the Cassette Club is about building a community of listeners who value intention — stepping away from constant streaming and reconnecting with music as something physical, lasting, and shared.
